The building was inaugurated in 1924 to house the Teacher’s Education School of Ponta Grossa. In 1939 it was named Regente Feijó Gymnasium. Its building is a milestone in the urban landscape of the city for its beauty and eclectic architectural style - classic and art-nouveau.

Regente Feijó School is a state school and is famous for being the school where historic figures of Ponta Grossa studied and also for offering a high-quality education. The building was protected as a cultural heritage of Paraná in 1990.
