The city of Ponta Grossa used to be an area where cattle drivers passed with their cattle. Therefore, a monument in honor to the Tropeirismo - cattle drivers’ profession - was inaugurated in 2003. The monument is composed of four artistic murals painted on ceramics. The murals depict scenes of the everyday life of the “tropeiro”- cattle driver. Its metallic roof symbolizes a landing, in front of it there is a totem with the history of cattle drivers in embossed pictures. There is also steel sculpture of a knight showing the cattle drivers’ path.
